Surf Life Saving has a place for members on a Patrol that do not need to get in the water.  You can do Patrols as “Award Members” performing the following important jobs with qualifications:
 
First Aid Member
Requirements:
- Current First Aid Certificate

Advanced Resuscitation Technique (ART) Member
Requirements:
- Current First Aid Certificate
- ART Course

Radio Operator
Requirements:
- Complete the SLS Radio Course

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) 
Requirements:
- Courses are run regularly by Hunter Branch, contact the Training Officer below for further details

Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC)
If you do want to assist in the water but don’t think you can do the full Bronze Course then the Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) course is for you. Yes, we have adults complete this course and become active patrol members as well as performing water safety for the Nippers!

Bronze Medallion
Allows you to be a patrolling member, perform water safety at Nippers and continue on to become an IRB Crew or Driver plus numerous other qualifications! Requirements: minimum 17 Years of age
